The History : Patsy's Story

The Ruby Slipper Fund was established in honour of cancer survivor Patsy Rothenbush who passed away in the Summer of 2009 at the age of 51.

Having received so much support from the Sunshine Coast community herself, it was Patsy's wish that a fund be started to support others affected by cancer on the Coast.

To help make her vision a reality the Ruby Slipper Fund was founded by her close friends in order to support the Palliative Care Program on the Sunshine Coast. The fund has since grown to further help those coping with cancer by means of local support groups, counselling and other various types of support.

For more information about how the Ruby Slipper Fund is helping people on the Coast affected by cancer see HOW WE HELP.
